What does the laser

do to your tattoo?

When getting a tattoo, the ink is deposited into the deepest layers of your skin through a „scratching” process. Your body’s immune cells, called macrophages, can’t remove the ink because the pigment particles are much larger than the cells. As a result, your tattoo (even if it fades a bit) remains permanently.

However, the laser beam reaches these pigment particles and „shatters” them into tiny pieces. These smaller particles can now be absorbed by the macrophages, allowing the ink to break down and gradually be eliminated from your body.

Online appointment booking

After receiving your booking, we will contact you by phone within one business day to go over everything you need to know. We’ll provide detailed information about the process and answer any questions you may have.

Booking Confirmation

If we can accept your booking, we will confirm it and send you a payment link for a HUF 10,000 deposit, which you can easily pay by credit card. This deposit will, of course, be deducted from the total amount.

Before the procedure

Avoid sun exposure on the treated area for two weeks before the procedure and use a high-SPF sunscreen. Keep your skin hydrated with body lotion, as well-hydrated skin heals faster after the treatment. If the tattoo is on a body area with hair, please shave it before your appointment. (This step is not necessary for eyebrow tattoos.)

The treatment begins with thoroughly cleansing and disinfecting the skin. We then pre-cool the area with an ice pack to minimize discomfort, so you will feel only a mild stinging sensation at most.

The laser treatment begins

You will put on protective goggles, and our trained specialist will carefully guide the laser over the treated area. To minimize any discomfort, we continuously cool the skin throughout the procedure. Depending on the size and color of the tattoo, the treatment can take anywhere from 1-2 minutes to 30 minutes.

Once we’re done, we apply a soothing cream to the area. Right after the treatment, you may experience mild redness and sensitivity, similar to a sunburn, but these will subside quickly. In most cases, visible changes can already be noticed after the first session.

After the procedure

It’s best to let the treated area rest, apply dry cooling if there is any discomfort, and keep the skin hydrated with a thin layer of moisturizing cream. Avoid scratching the area.

Stay away from sun exposure, tanning beds, saunas, swimming pools, and hot water. Always use sunscreen. Drinking plenty of water after the treatment is essential, as proper lymphatic circulation and metabolism play a key role in breaking down and absorbing the ink particles.

The next treatment

The fading process typically requires 1 to 6 sessions, and in the case of cosmetic tattoos, even a single treatment may be enough. The number of sessions depends on the size of the treated area, the color and type of pigment, and how deeply it was implanted into the skin. The laser first targets the upper layers of pigment.

To ensure proper skin healing and prevent scarring, the next session can take place after a waiting period of about 3 to 8 weeks, allowing the laser to penetrate deeper with each treatment. The process is repeated until the pigment is completely removed from your skin.

Once the treatment series is complete, all that’s left to do is look in the mirror and see your renewed, confident self smiling back at you.

Modern lasers significantly reduce the risk of scarring. However, proper aftercare and following professional advice are essential to prevent skin damage.

Between treatments, you need to wait for your skin to regenerate to avoid scarring. This varies from person to person, but typically, 3 to 8 weeks pass between sessions.

On average, 1-6 sessions are sufficient, but in the case of permanent makeup, sometimes just one treatment delivers such great results that the area can be re-tattooed afterward. The number of sessions depends on factors such as the amount, quality, and color of the ink, how long ago the tattoo was done, how many times it was reapplied, whether it was done by a professional or an amateur, how deeply the pigment was injected, and the location on the body. Larger, more colorful body tattoos may require more sessions.

The healing process after laser tattoo removal is usually quick, and in most cases, you can return to your usual activities within a few days.

The procedure can take anywhere from 1-2 minutes to a maximum of 30 minutes, depending on the size of your tattoo, so you can even visit us during your lunch break.

Common side effects include redness, swelling, and a sunburn-like sensation. In rare cases, blistering or scarring may occur, but these are usually temporary.

Almost all of them. Unfortunately, white or light colors mixed with white, as well as green and yellow, cannot be treated even with the most advanced laser technology available today, as no laser can detect these colors. Additionally, older, multi-colored tattoos that require multiple sessions may not always be completely removed, and faint patches may remain on the skin.

It is not applicable for eyelid tattoos, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in cases of high blood pressure and heart problems, on scarred or mole-covered areas, on healing wounded skin, in the presence of active acne, eczema, or any other skin condition affecting the area.
